the figure is always a captivating subject
body lines say so much in curve & crevice…
having had only limited studies myself,
jumped at the chance to join my friend jess
in a recent figure drawing session…
any apprehension over my lack of skill
melted away as i obsessed over figure finding
thoughts of my grandmother’s figure drawing
sketchbook and how passionately she recorded form
furthered my hand and fueled my fervor
my work was reviewed as part of the “Artists Review Artists” project over at J.T. Kirkland’s Thinking About Art blog where Kirkland paired artists together to anonymously review each other’s work.
