well after some minor stops & starts gush has now
invaded the storefront window of Longview Gallery!!
this sculpture has always craved a place in the spotlight
and i couldn’t be more excited! do check it out…

i must apologize for the lack of blog activity,
this summer has been quite a busy time
full of lotsa vacations and some big surprises…

the biggest surprise came in the form of
my work being represented by the fabulous
new Longview Gallery!!! located only 8 blocks
away from my studio in the suddenly blossoming
neighborhood around the DC Convention Center.

I currently have about 6 pieces hanging on the wall,
and as of this thursday the newly revamped gush
will be gracing the storefront window of the gallery!
this is such a thrill for me because i have been dying
to do an installation in a window for so damn long.

yesterday our idyllic poolside afternoon was
suddenly silenced by a high pitched death squeal.

in the frenzied shuffle that followed all was chaos
i looked up to see the poodle poised (post-pounce)
above a small, struggling creature spasming in the grass
a baby bunny -no blood- was it shock?

i was chosen to investigate the crime scene
still squeezed into a purple pool toy
as if its absurdity would shield us both
from death which had already sounded its call
