the figure is always a captivating subject
body lines say so much in curve & crevice…
having had only limited studies myself,
jumped at the chance to join my friend jess
in a recent figure drawing session…
any apprehension over my lack of skill
melted away as i obsessed over figure finding
thoughts of my grandmother’s figure drawing
sketchbook and how passionately she recorded form
furthered my hand and fueled my fervor
